I have coffee with a good friend this morning. She is a environmental consultant who travels all over the world. When I quipped her when was her last trip, she mentioned that she just came back to Kuching Malaysia from Paris, staying only ONE day there before flying back! It was supposed to be a conference of environmental consultants from all over the world congregate to deliberate on the issue of environmental impact caused by their international clients. She felt the irony that so many consultants should flew there, getting on airplanes that emit pollutions, spending a large sum of clients’ money (which should be saved for more noble causes) and not employ the latest technology of tele-conferencing.
Suddenly it dawns on me why I have become passionate about recommending eBooks. The digital books, eBooks is the first step of going green. No printed copies mean no tree needs to be cut down. So I purposely choose a beautiful picture green trees to include in this post, which produces a calming effect.
And on this note, the featured eBooks in this post are Go Green Revolution – My Office Handbook and Go Green Revolution – My Life. Both of this eBooks emphasise on how to go green in your life to save the environment in many small ways in life, each one of us playing our parts in our daily life.
We can all play a part in Going Green starting today
- Start reading an eBook or digital book instead of a printed one;
- Do online banking instead of getting a statement in the mail;
- Read your favourite newspaper and magazine online
- Buy eBooks if possible instead of printed ones….
You can read more review of these two eBooks here

Ah Ha, I would expected you to say that James. Reading an eBook can be quite taxing on your eyes at the beginning. But I guess I am getting use to it, all for a good cause to the world & to our children. Some one says it well, we do not own the planet, we are merely taking care of it for our next generation. So in some little way each day we can help to preserve the planet earth, like use one plastic bag less. Go green and cheers.
Reading has been my passion since I was a kid, but to switch to reading ebooks and enewspaper is not the same as holding on to a hard copy. But I, too am quite passionate about saving our planet, so what to do? I guess I’ll have to start somewhere! Pity Borneo Post stopped its e-version many months back already, maybe its due to falling circulation as their reader switched to the e-version, hence they stopped it.
